Clomid: D2 - D6

But in my case, since I have forgotten to bring along the medicine, I skipped D5 and continue to eat it on D6 and D7.

I noticed that clomid makes me nausea and headache. Other than these, no problem.

Semoga TTC kami akan berjaya dalam Februari 2012 Ya Allah. Amin Ya Rabbal Alamin.

According to infertility.about.com,

Nausea and Dizziness

About 2% of women experienced nausea and vomiting while taking Clomid. This is another side effect, which may be lessened by taking the medication in the evening. If the nausea is intense, or you have trouble keeping down food and fluids, be sure to report this to your doctor. Severe nausea can also be a sign of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome, a rare but potentially dangerous side effect of fertility drugs.

CD2:Clomid

My cycle was on time this cycle. No wonder la I felt my breast sakit and lenguh pinggang. I thought because of the travelling to Muar.

My Father-in-law was admitted to hospital on Sunday. He was sesak nafas on Saturday at 9.00pm. Husband and his twin together with MIL took him to BP's 24-hour clinic but was rejected and referred to hospital.

Admitted around 2.30am Sunday and until today, still there. Diagnosed with emphysema.

So, tonight I will start on Clomid 100mg for 5 days.

First Step

The first step in TTC journey is to make appointment with infertility specialist to determine the root cause of infertility. Do not mistaken with Obstetrics and Gynaecology doctors because they are pro in pregnancy and delivery cases. I made this mistake earlier.

I contacted Klinik Dr Hamid Arshad to schedule an appointment on 12/12/11 as I would be on replacement holiday and my husband is willing to accompany me on that day.

We started our journey from Shah Alam after breakfast around 9.30am. Reached there about 10.15am because we have to search the area as we weren't familiar with it. DBKL parking was full, so we proceeded to ground multi-level parking. Jangan park bawah CIMB tu, busuk.

Upon entering the clinic, put both of your IC in the box and proceed to the waiting area. After a while, our name was called and a nurse will take all particulars such as blood pressure, weight, height, period history etc.

Then waited again in the waiting room until your turn to see the doctor. As I was under the Kempen Kesihatan Wanita conducted by Dr Aimy, I was assigned to her. It seems that Dr Aimy is Dato' Dr Hamid's daughter-in-law.

She reviewed my data and asked few questions about both of us. Then she asked me to the Bilik Periksa (Examination Room) and to strip from waist and below. Kind of shy but belasah ajelah..

She started to do vaginal examination and confirmed I have PCOS. I was quite surprised because the treatment we tried in 2010 never confirmed that. Now I know why my period in 2011 was haywire and my weight seemed to susah nak turun. More about PCOS.

She gave me Metformin, Norculut, Adipex, Saw Palmetto and a slip to Klinik Daya X-Ray to do HSG. Total paid was RM124.00 as the consultation and ultrasound was free.

HSG is to be done after period, anytime selepas kering and 11th day.

Metformin - to treat insulin resistant found in PCOS sufferer.
Norculut - untuk turunkan period. More about Norculut.
Saw Palmetto - helps in treating infertility.

Entry 1: Starting the journey

We have been married for five years. Started TTC in the second year of our married life as the first was dedicated as honeymoon year.

We tried naturally but still couldn't conceive. So I searched for O&G doctors not knowing O&G and infertility is totally different. Haha silly me.

But then again, maybe because I want a lady doctor, so I ignore that fact. Did you know that most infertility doctors are male? As a muslim, I tried to avoid dealing with male doctors. I'll try to search for lady doctor first, if unavailable then only I will go to male doctors.

In 2008, I went to DEMC@Seksyen 9 to meet up Dr Norleen, a soft-spoken and sweet lady. She did ultrasound to figure out my problem. But she didn't detect any problem except my irregular period. So she gave me Metformin and clomid to regular my period.

After 6 months, she wanted to referred me to Dr Zamri, but as I said, I don't want male doctor. So I stopped seeing her.

So 2009 I started traditional  method pulak. Went for urut, drank delima muda yg sangat pahit, sengkak rahim whatnots yang sangat painful. Then while in the treatment, I left valuable sentimental things at her house and I lost it. I didn't accused her but it left me devastated. So I stopped going to her house.

But in October 2009, my colleague told me her schoolmate is a doctor and she told her about me, so the doctor wanted to help me. After discussing it with my husband, Mr R said 'Just try it' eventhough it is quite far from our house. We are in Shah Alam and the clinic is in Kajang. But we, as in husband and I, agreed to try everything that is affordable and proven.

The meeting she took particulars like weight, height, blood pressure etc. Drew some blood from us and gave us supplemen. For me, she gave me Reductil, a subutramine design to help to curb the need to eat. It will tell the brain that you are full so you will eat less and loose weight. But I can't stand the side effects such as dry mouth, imsomnia, headache. The first consultation left us with more than RM1,000.00 empty in the pocket. This include blood test, sperm count test, hep B shot, supplement.

We went for 5 months kot...but in the end, distance and time was our enemy. What I like about this course was the supplement she provided, especially for Mr R. Tapi mahal! 1 month comsumption for this herbal pill is RM400.00. Fuhh..

In 2011, tried to discuss about treatments, whether alternative method or scientific method, but my husband macam tak interested. Or maybe he was busy, even went to work on Sundays.
